It’s March! Spring cleaning time. One thing you can do in March is make some adjustments to your finances, the CLEAN way.
Coupons – Use coupons when you shop. it might not seem like you’re saving a lot. On each trip, you may not save a bundle. However, if you add up those savings over time, you will see a difference. If you keep putting droppers full of water in a glass, eventually you will fill it. Saving is the same way. Every little bit adds up to much in the end.
Lights Out – Don’t forget to turn off lights and other electronics like video games and TVs when you leave a room. Just that small action will begin to show a difference in your light bill. The good kind of difference
Eat at Home More – If you eat out a lot, cut back. Eat more meals at home. Take the money you would have used eating out and save it. Tally it up at the end of the month. You’ll be surprised at how much you have. Use it to pay off or down a bill. Or just deposit it into the savings account. Cha-Ching!
Adjust your budget – Look at making small cuts to your budget in areas like entertainment or clothing. Find free or reduced costs entertainment. Shop consignment shops. Heck, shop your closet. You’ll be surprise what you forgot you had!
No spend month – Decide to have a no buy month. No eating out. No shopping (except for groceries). You pay bills, buy groceries and that’s that. Again, any money you save goes to a bill or to your savings account.
Let me know if you do any or all of these things. I’d like to know how they work for you.
